Mounted on Kyle Katarns belt, this device is probably one of the most important inventory items because it may save Kyle from death. It produces a protective shield around him and protects him from a limited amount of damage. It can be charged up using a shield power converter or picking up shield supply(comes in large and small). It does not save you from falls or being crushed.
